Kb-Insights is the trading name used by Karen Beveridge.
Karen has a wealth of experience in education, the development of people and is committed to helping others expand their learning. Her core values are that all people should be treated fairly and with respect. She is committed to equal opportunities and the personal development of all people.
These values were intrinsic to her work in a variety of settings as a Head teacher, teacher, coach, mentor and facilitator of professional development for staff.
Exploring further avenues to assist others in optimising their potential by overcoming barriers led to her training as a Master Practitioner of NLP, Hypno-therapist. She completed her studies at the Institute for Neuro- Physiological Psychology (INPP), looking at Neuro Developmental Delay (NDD) in order to help children and adults with specific learning difficulties and behavioural problems.
She also works on a voluntary basis with a project in Kenya supporting the schooling of orphans. Her work in NDD is twofold: in the UK, to work with parents to devise programmes to support their child, and advising teachers in Kenya. Following her first visit to Kenya in May 2007, she raised awareness of the importance of movement in the learning process. She co-ordinated an educational programme during their first visit to the UK in November 2007. She continues to support the Kenyan Teachers professional development.
She is also a director of Kids NLP Scotland. The company has developed workshops for children and parents in the Edinburgh area, helping to develop more confident motivated kids. To date, she has successfully helped children with, confidence, low self-esteem, fears and phobias. She looks forward to, helping thousands of children and parents take control of their lives and "Be all they can be!"
In Spring of 2007 Kids NLP Scotland facilitated taster workshops for schools in Glasgow in order that schools can give consideration to embracing this as a whole school initiative at a future point and embedding it into their ethos nurturing ‘Motivated Confident Kids’, aiming to Change Children’s Lives. They were very well received by staff and children. Children in Scotland will be piloting a course for professionals working with children and young people in Spring 2009, facilitated by the kids nlp Scotland.
